For almost 15 years Dakota Audio has been the leader in purpose built speaker design and manufacturing.  The AS-20.12.2 Ambient Speaker, is specifically designed for the utmost clarity in reproducing ambient nature sounds while maintaining the Dakota Audio trademark of a very thin, unobtrusive appearance.  

The Ambient Speaker is omni directional even at high frequencies.  It also presents very low resonance as indicated by the excellent waterfall response.

Just as in nature, phase shifting is incorporated into the Dakota Audio AS-20 Ambient Speaker design to mimic “real world“ location masking.  This results in a very realistic sounding  environment and also makes it difficult to localize an array of speakers.

The speaker is finished in a black textured exterior with a plastic reinforced black fabric grill cloth.  Two threaded inserts on the long sides of the speaker enable a variety of mounting scenarios.
